just curious, I have an 89' single cam KA if I swap to a DE does it matter if it is OBDI or II. I think the OBDI is from the 92-94 and II is from the 95-98? I dunno

The obd I system was on 91 to 95 model KA24DE's. The obd II was from 96 to 98 models. I think it doesn't matter which motor you put in. so long as you get the eccs(ecu) also.

Nismo14-180 is right. As long as you swap the same ecu you'll be okay.

However, if you decide to go with the 96 and up OBDII, the greddy TD06-20G turbo kit will bolt up and plug right into the ecu. But that only matters if you decide to upgrade to turbo.
