just a couple quick questions...hope some one can help me
i recently changed my original engine to a GA15 (B14) but when i use my a/c during the mid day period (12-2) the temp. gauge keeps going up, but i never allow it to go right up i always take the a/c off after a while. should i change my a/c compressor to suit the engine or is it a standard compressor ?

also, i want to get rear disc brakes for the said B12, any suggestons ?

thanxxxxx !!

yea it does, both fans work well.....but my a/c guy told me that in due time i would have to change my compressor....so i was trying to find out if the compressor is causing an extra strain on the engine an causing the temp. to rise.
ohhhh

thanks for the info about the rear disc brakes

don't know about the compressor details, but it should not cause overheating even if larger, the load is small compared to pushing the car around.
I would suspect the thermostat first, since its low cost, maybe not opening properly.
After that check temp the fans turn on, check temp gauge, then a radiator. is water pump newish ?
Re: rear discs, I changed my B14, this is meant to be harder because the beam axle, you must get a new beam axle or adapters.
B13's the brakes change out on the strut Ok, I don't know about B12's.

Just a thought, since this is an engine swap take a look at the hose's, maybe one of then is collapsed due to a tighter turn than designed for??
