wendesday i get a good chance to work on my car, and i want to paint the trunk reflector piece and make a custom cai. 1st how do i take off the stock intake resonator without damaging it, and i have platinum mettalic paint for my trunk piece but will it match my platinum gold car? would black look good too? thanks

It's not hard at all to take the stock air intake tubes off, there are a couple bolts that hold down the filter and 4 of them on the MAF, which is located right after the stock intake box. Just undo the clips that hold the top of the airbox together, and then take out the filter. There should be a couple screws on the bottom of the airbox, unscrew those and you should be set. You will need to open up your fender on the driver's side tire to get to the rest of the air intake. Just pull it apart, it should come apart.
