i have a 1995 altima with aftermarket muffler and ram air intake. my friend had about the same setup on his civic but he has removed the cat and gave it a nice louder sound. im lookin to try this but the problem is theres an O2 sensor in the cat. the plan is to take a piece of exhaust tubing make it the same length of the cat and weld matching flanges on it that way if i wanna reinstall the cat later i can. but should i just leave the O2 sensor out? or we also thought bout making threads in the pipe and reattaching the sensor. is it worth it? will the O2 sensor still get a good reading? i dont mind the check engine light coming on but is it going to mess with my gas mileage or anything? if someone can help or give me advice get back to me soon as possible. thanx
