there shouldn't be any differences in the block where the motor mounts bolt up. are you sure its the same motor?

 

it's the same ka24e. do you think maybe if it came out of a pick up or stanza instead of a 240sx it would be different?

 

yes, there would be a difference, and thats what i think is the problem. where did you get the motor from?

 

From an individual seller. And of coarse he wont give me my money back. but could i just use everything from the engine i bought and switch to my block?

 

You should be able to use all the internals in your old motor. However if your old block is severely worn, then the cylinder walls will probably have to be honed or bored. In this case the pistons/rings from the rebuilt motor may not match up.
