I recently purchased a 2001 Maxima. It came with a cassette only. I purchased an after market CD/Cass player. After installing, I realized the middle a/c vent will not fit. Any idea where to get the proper fit?

im not sure as to what you mean...but go to best buy or circuit city and ask for a mounting kit for your stereo. the kit will allow you to install the CD player and make it look flush. i know it can be done because some douche bag i went to high school with put an aftermarket CD player in his 01 maxima.
