ok, so i take apart my whole dash to get out the digital speedo module. I'm gonna buy a new one from nissan. I put the dash all back together, testing buttons as I go and everything is fine. I just go out now, while it's dark, and no dash lights turn on with the headlights. The turn signal lights work, all the warning lights work but no dash illumination. Checked all the fuses, everyone is fine. What could be the problem. I left the speedo module out, could that be intterupting the circuit or something??? And YES, I did search and didn't find this specific problem.

Put the Speedo back in. It is not the reason there is a speed limiter any ways.
That wire comes from the tranny up.

And now tonite I found out my cruise control doesn't work anymore. I can't believe all this crap just from taking out the cluster. I plugged ever plug back in where it was supposed to go. I don't understand this car anymore!!!

Did you have the Battery disconnected completely or at least the Positive side disconnected?
If not, you now have some work to do on the relays.

The cruise is probably a different problem entirely. My cruise doesn't work either... Maybe that's because I have a Momo steering wheel, lol. :thumbup: But my cruise didn't work even when I had the factory controls. Yeah, there's no point in removing the module. Cutting the third wire from the transmission does the same thing.

No, and I know I'm dumb for forgetting that. But I found out a couple things, for 1..my dimmer switch isn't blown, it does work on the temp. console lights, 2...I think my cruise don't work because i have the speedo out , so maybe it's messing up the signal cause theres no speedo hooked up. The dash illumination thing i think might be a loose bulb or something. I ordered a new speedo and was in today, i went to pick it up and the dumb a$$ parts guy at Nissan who I told 100 times it was digital, ordered the analog of course, so now I won't see it till Monday.

My cruise did work untill I took out the cluster, so I know it's something I did, I explained what I think it is in my last post. Thanks though! lol
