believe it or not a brand new mitsu lancer fell to the stock b13 4 door. i shit you not.

sitting at a light on my home from work i saw a new lancer roll up beside me. i dont start races simply because my car is slow as hell. i have had my ass handed to me on several occasions. but i know the cars that i can run with also and i do so regularly. anyway i had no intentions of getting my feelings hurt tonight especially since my friend was following behind me in his 99 prelude. he loves to pick on the poor little ga. as the light turned green the lancer and i take off about the same time crossing the highway when he floors it, i saw the front end raise up and him looking at my car. so i did what i usually do and dropped the auto down a gear or two and off we go , we stayed side by side which surprised me (and my friend) until he missed a gear and i slid on past him, tach reaching around 5800-6000 rpm. i wound it out in third (i love that damn button on the shifter) and the lancer gave up. i couldn't believe it and i was driving. i honestly dont my car should have stood a snowballs chancee in hell. but it goes to show that you cant win if you cant drive even if you have a faster car.

i have a 2002 lancer with weapon r intake testpipe and 2.25 exhaust i am doing 15.83 as my best to 16.36 as my worst in the 1/4 mile .there is alone one way this could had happen bitch ass driver ,chickdriver,auto lancer with a guy driverng it has no balls.even if it was a uto i can beat the ga16de any time .the lancer stock comes with 110 whp and the ca16de comes with 94whp stock.i am saying this because i have beat many sentra's with my lancer gxe,xe,se but not se-r.but my b12 will beat all these cars on the road when i get my ca18det swap next month.i even beat the new freaking civic si wagon pos with my lancer.

u forgot to mention the ga16de, which has 115HP, 5 more than u, now i dont know about the torque and weight

The U.S. version of Lancer is extremely weak, even the 'Rally' version (yeah right) is pathetic. However; beware when Mits. brings over the Evolution though.

Remember the stock GA16 puts down about 89 - 90-peak horsepower to the wheels and about 86 - 87 ft-lbs. of torque. Our past project numbers have shown a respectable increase in the 100 to 105 peak hp area, with 105 -110 of torque with the common bolt ons, such as header, intake, exhaust, pulley, etc…

the lancer with intake and exhaust and headers your look at a extra 27.6 whp to go check out those dyno sheet's check at the kamakazi headers sema booth.and aem has a dyno sheet with there intake it gain 3.9 whp at peak and 8.9whp between 3500 and 4500 range.i will try and racing one and i am going record it and put it on the web.

But why do you say his story is hard to believe? Even if Lancers are faster than GA16 powered sentras, he said the guy missed a shift. That made all the difference in the world. I believe he won.

yeah i am not trying to put any car down i just saying what i have experince's raceing ga16de.i love the mitsu's and nissan.like i said i own a b12 soon to be ca18det power cant wait got the car paint ,bodykit molded to the car.i also have all suspension work tokic shock ,st springs and stur bars just need the swap and i will have a nismo classic on my hands.my goal is to beat a lancer evo with my b12 and maybe with the usdm lancer.

I can respect a man with good intentions, but in order for this to happen you had better find a really good suspension to help put that power down. And even so, unless you plan on modding that set up (bigger turbo, injectors, better fuel management and a FMIC) you may get disappointed. I'm going to easily give you the smoking of the lancer, but pack your gear for the EVO as I'll be doing the same (at least street-wise racing). Highway racing will be interesting!

hey mirage of you will pay attention to detail i stated that i didnt want to get embarassed by the lancer. i wasnt going to try anything until he tried to take off on me. as soon as he missed a shift it was over. i have an auto so it dont miss shifts. he messed up, he lost. if we ever run again he will most likely smoke me. i can admit to have a below par vahicle. mine is a 4 door also.

That's the price you pay for missing a gear, you get smoked! That's where driver skills come in, but if the driver is a doof-box and rely o the power of the car, he stand a real good chance of getting his @ss handed to him. What is power without control? Easy..Smoke!

This is why I love my short shifter. I bought it mainly for 75% looks (the stock shift was ugly) and 25% performance. However, this ratio is now completely opposite. I've found when I'm basically evenly matched (or even the underdog), the short shifter makes a HUGE difference. I've kept up w/ or beat cars that are much more powerful simply because I have more of a constant acceleration. Not something I expected to be that huge....

the short shifter helps alot on cars.my boys has one on his lancer and it shift sssssooooooo good! hey boost boy get my ca18det on friday cant wait so expect a call from me to tell you if it a 1st or second gen i think it's a second gen its 89 to 91 engine straigth for japan.nd to order some stuff ok.oh yeah got headers for the lancer and bore out tb and magnacore wires and some other stuff going to track next week or this weekend.post times .oh yeah got some good new's for new jersey nissan owners wiil post it soon.
