We should do a real track day on a good course with lots of turns like that, instead of just draggin'.

Here here, if the minis can have an all mini track day, so should we!

Where is this at?
How much is it?
Do we need any sort of special lisence to do it?

On a side note, who intends to run SCCA Solo2 this year?

Damn that's nice track. wheres that at? It looks like it would bet the hell out of MSR eventhough the off camber turns are crazy fun!

If DNE got something going on a real track you can count me in! Anybody can go fast in a straight line but road racing is just plain FUN!

The track is Texas World Speedway, just south of college station, TX.

I like it a LOT better than MSR. In fact, I don't like MSR at all. it has zero personality and half the corners are off-cember, blind, left hand turns. booooorrrrrriiiiing.

TWS is much more fun, and a MUCH faster track.
at MSR, I top out 3rd gear on the straights- about 105mph. at TWS, I top out 4th gear on the front straight (140mph), and have to shift into 4th on two other straights.

costs? depends on how much you want to drive and how long you want to be there. Generally a full weekend runs about $250, and you get 4 hours of track time. 2 hrs per day. You can also do single day stuff, for like $125 or $150, but generally you'll want to run the full weekend.
