Hey,
rencently i had a chance to drive a friends B12, it is completey stock with a stick shift. After just 10 mins in the car i was blown away. I never realized how terrible the Automatic is...even with autosticking. The torque converter is painfully slow and eats power like crazy.
I was wondering how easy it is to do a Manual tranny swap. What tranny should i use? I have plently of access to diffferent tranny's ( the largest junkyard in Western Canada is only an hour away!)
What ECU would i need to change to and how would I mount a clutch pedal?
One more Q. Has anyone ever tried this before? How did it turn out?
