I have a 98 Frontier KC, 4x4 w/ 4-cyl + manual transmission. The truck has 65k original miles & has never been abused...or even offroad, for that matter. It started making noise after pulling a very heavy payload + trailer 300+ miles. Checked fluid & it was low, but wouldn't have thought low enough to kill the tranny. Anyhow - was wondering if there's a 6-speed available as a replacement? If not - where do I get a new/reman 5-sp, cuz I can't find anything locally/ebay/craigslist. Are these hard to find? Maybe mine is the 1st one to ever fail.
