With all the talk on LSD's, I was wondering, do they even make one for the automatic transmissons? Do the diffs in the autos look even close to being the same as a manual transmisson diffs to be retrofitted for use in the autos?

Im thinking of the people who are thinking about turboing their 1.6 autos or even the 2.0 autos for that matter. I would like to believe that an LSD of some sort would be benifical in some way, reguardless of which trans you have. Although there are a lot of auto drivers here from what im seeing.

Anyone with opinions?

Yes!

Phantom Grip can make LSD for the 1.6L and 2.0L Autos. Back in April my transmission broke a differential. I was able to talk to the people there and they said if I sent a working differential to them, they would make a LSD for it. Unfortunately, I did not have a working one to send them. If someone can send them one, they'll charge an extra $50 or so at first then it'll go to the regular price. I think the price they quoted me was $299. Talk to Level 10 and see if they have talked with Phantom Grip about getting a full race transmission w/ LSD. Talk to a guy named Sam and he'll give you the group deal info.

I don't have the phone numbers with me but the level 10 website is levelten.com, Phantom Grip's is out there somewhere. Try searching the forum.

Hmm.....so it's posssible huh. So I have to send them a working diff to make an LSD out of it. Then they charge me $50 MORE to convert it. Then reduce the price for everyone else.......that seems kinda backwards to me. It would stand to reason that a company would give the first person a discount for being the "ginuea pig", I guess its not the case here.

Oh well, performance comes at a price...........are you willing to spend it seems.

Thanks for the reply.

No Prob. I know it seems backwards. I wish I could have done the deal but it would have cost me $300+ for a new differential plus the $299 for the LSD... Atleast it's better than some of those $999 LSD upgrades through Nismo or Mugen (hondas).

There will be no complaining comming from me reguarding the price. Just the fact they want to charge more for the first one.

ah the joys of owning a SE-R....LSD stock...

I say sell your car and buy an SE-R but im biased:)
Hey, nothing wrong with being biased:D , but what would be the fun in buying an SE-R and just being stock?;) :) :D

Im playin'-verno
