hi! i have an automatic 94 sentra xe for a daily driver..and it seems to idle quite low and not stable...i messed with the screw on the tps..it fixed the problem for like a couple weeks...it is worse when on ''drive'' but seem to be low even on ''parking''.could someone help me?

edit:eek:h and could someone tell how to get diagnostic codes on these cars?

That is for the error codes.
I would try cleaning out your IAc valve 1st. If you dont know where it is or how to cean it, search the forums. I have a great write up on how to do it, with pics.

Also to actually adjust your idle speed you have to unplug the throttle positioning sensor. Then adjust the idle adustment screw, under the black cap, on the throttle body.

Actually, your Idle Air Control Valve is a little different on a 94. It is like mine, on the opposite side of the intake manifold from the throttle body. I just posted information here with a link showing how I cleaned my IACV.

It is just not Nissans. Carbon build-up happens. I am doing the same type cleaning (Throttle Body and IACV) on my Saturn every 30,000 miles to keep her running properly.

yeah you're right...i had a 91 Suzuki Swift GT and it was doing it too.
