I never really thought about it before, but I don't think the lights on my dash have ever worked when I turn over the ignition. I noticed this when I read the instructions for checking my ECU. It seems like I have a recollection of them working when I first purchased the truck 3 years ago. However, I cannot remember the last time I saw them on. My main concern is being able to see the check engine light when I develop a problem (see other thread posted today).
What can cause this to happen? I have ran the ECU, it gives a code 12, as discussed in other thread. That is the only issue it shows. Currently, the only light that works is the bright lights indicator.
