Lots mod some E-series!!!!

Anyone got any mods for the E-series engines??? These are the ones I know of:

-DG-Racing intake. It's expensive especially when you can make your own. GHETTO STYLE!!!!

-The head from the e15T fits. It has larger valves AND raises compression. Get it at http://www.nismoparts.com

-Pacesetter makes an exhaust header, but I don't know if it makes any difference.

To tell you the truth Ricebox i don't know. Maybe you just have to enlarge the holes or something.

I lost hope in my e16i engine the acceleration sucks i think it's the oxygen sensor and the throttle cable.
Ricebox can you send me a pic of your throttl cable as to where it is connected. In the back of my head there is a piece of metal that is bended to the side with a oval opening i think that where the nut from the cable get's connected, because right now my cable just moves around and it has alot of slack.

The engine doesn't heve any power. I press the gas the car doesn't move it won't go up a hill but i'm not going to let got. This summer i'm going to replace the oxygen sensor and fix the problem with the cable and see what happens.

IN two years i'll drop in it a ga16de and manuel trans with 2inch exhaust cold air intake and hit the 1320 in high to low 15s

this car is going to die with me you know what i'm saying RICEBOX

Hybrid DET Ryco told me that you just have to use the mounts from the ga16i engine. It bolts in the original mounting holes

I tried to scan a picture from my Haynes manual but my scanner is spastic. I suggest you get a copy of the manual for yourself. It is really helpful. If I get the scanner working I'll post the picture.

Have you heard of what Ryco is up to
There is a picture, I don't remember the page but it is in the "fuel injected engine" section. About 5 pages in. And I have no idea what Ryco is up to. Why do you ask???

Ghetto intake is all. This spring I'm going to try to make a pipe to attach a conefilter. If it works I'll post pictures. I'm just a poor highschool student so I don't have much money to spend on my car. New tires and possibly a set of used wheels are on their way this month. I'm trying to get a good job for the summer so I can quit the crappy job I have now, maybe then I'll have some spare cash.

The thing that's missing from the cable is a plastic clip that the cable clips in. Where do you think i can get this part from

Auto wreckers are my favourite source of car parts.

BTW I forgot to tell you that my car came with cross-drilled rotors and I also installed a tach.

By theory I always thought that the ga16i and the ga16de shared the same engine block, and therefore the engine would be were interchangable. (like the e-15t and the E16) I'm still not sure if this is the case though.

Even if the blocks were identical, the transmission mounts are probably different and would not bolt to the b12 chassis.

I'm not sure if any of this is true, but from what I have seen it doesnt seem like the two engines are interchangable. However, I have not spent alot of time reasearching it, so I could be wrong.

It would be interesting to find out if the two engines did bolt up. If they did maybe there would be some way to bolt in the sr20 using half Ga mounts and half sr20. (like those honda guys with the B series swaps) Unlikely, but it definately would be a cool project to pursue. :D

If you ever decide to pursue it, let me know if you need any help.

E16i "RICE-BOX" 411

Hey Rice, dude I just got some healthy info from a chum. Your E16i has alot of potential so give it props! My chum says yes your motor mods are limitted to specifically what Nissan Motor sports makes. Pace Setter sells a intake for the fuel injected B12 models, they also make a header along with a cat back exhaust system, oh did I fail to mention a short throw shifter. Stillen and Nissan Motorsports sell a race setup suspension. A metal fabrication shop or race specialty store can custom make you a front strut tower brace and a rear sway bar crossmember. If you swap a tranny from a B12 SE model you will get more performance and more power because the SE model transmissions are geared different (performance gear setup) than the E, XE, GXE. Some dealers may deny it but there was a Sentra GT as well. If you can find one it will be the same as a SE. Now Rice I need you to pick your self up off of the floor and look out of the window and smile at your car. As for me I am sitting here fumbling with the mental side oh this F/I conv. we were talking about. I do not know if this is going to be easy, I htink I am going to need back up, keep your radio on...PLEASE! And pass this on to Mustang302. -87 SE & Greg...

87SENTRASE what is your website.
This is what i read from B15sentra.net forums. There's this guy named blowb310 who modifies b12 he a race b11 and a b12 awd. He says the only thing limiting b12 from making power is their fuel injection system. This what i thought of doing. Since our engine are old we bring it to a machine shop to overbore the block for bigger pistons maybe the ones from the ca18de or one with higher compression, we install the e15et rods which are bigger. The port match the intake manifold with the head, port the intake and exhaust ports, reground the cam or the nismo motorsports one. Then we top it of with a nice cold air intake something like the one AEM makes for the zetec engine, pacesetter header and custom 2inch exhaust sans cat.
Our car are kind of fast the way they came from the factory when their running in perfect order.
THere's also a guy from the exaclub website that building up his engine and his going to install individual throttle body and stand alon engine management unit.
WHat do you guys have to say.
