Hi, just wondering if some of you guys have a clue... almost all the parts you can find here in Costa Rica at the local Nissan says "Not for Warranty Use. Only for Non-US Territories" is there a difference between the quality of the parts or something to put that thing on every box they sell?

perhaps it is emissions-wise, does the 1.6 over there have a downdraft throttle body?? and without a mass airflow meter?? because i remember working on 1 before, very strange, almost honda-like feeling..........i did like the shorter runners on the intake manifold..........

Well, don't know.... mine it's american, we also have some Japanese Nissans... and also emmision controlled.... but all the parts says "For Areas other than USA, Canada or Europe"

I have seen some B14's engines without Mass airflow meter and different intake manifold but the engine it's like the same i have, with the difference that they are build in Mexico.

yes cars in diffrent regions are different. for example, the same car in USA, europe and africa are different..they make the cars durable to the weather, emission....my mexican friends brought his car to Pennsylvania and he couldnt drive it when it snowed. cars made for afircan and mid east are high temp durable. and it goes on....

wonder what those less emission controlled engine setups put out, heck, if it's good, i might opt for that shorter runner intake maifold without the maf, or it might just be too complicated.....

Well, the cylinder head seems to be the same with some small diferences in the intake as i read in "Kojima's Garage / Engines" at sentra.net better air flow than 91-94's

That's a good point about that "parts restrictions"... we don't have snow here and the coldest part i'be been here it's about -2 degrees C... the car works perfect but with some less power since it's a volcano we have here and it's quite high, less oxigen for all to breathe...
