Ok, my USDM SR20 is blown and I'm going to replace it with either a JDM or European 10:1 DE. I can just use my USDM sr20 ECU with it right? Does it make a difference that the compression ratio is higher? Or do I have to get it reprogrammed?
It will be fine.fugiot said:Ok, my USDM SR20 is blown and I'm going to replace it with either a JDM or European 10:1 DE. I can just use my USDM sr20 ECU with it right? Does it make a difference that the compression ratio is higher? Or do I have to get it reprogrammed?
I know, but I'm using the US ecu with the JDM motor.lshadoff said:The JDM ECU does not have any provisions for the US emissions controls. If Colorado has emissions testing, you will be SOL.

The sensors are not present on the JDM motor, so you will trip a MIL for every sensor that is missing.fugiot said:I know, but I'm using the US ecu with the JDM motor.
You've gone beyond my experience in this area. Perhaps you can get more information at www.sr20forums.comfugiot said:damn, so I guess I'd better go with the Euro SR20DE with egr. The US ecu will recognize the Euro's egr system correctly, right?
