well, usually......when u hear a siren......or a cops gun is aimed at your car...and he knows you are speeding, it doesnt matter if you slow down anymore...all it takes is 1 second for that cop to know how fast youre going.....and i'd rather just know if there IS a cop around or not...so either i can say it was a false alarm or know that i have been caught.Teknokid said:

let me get this straight.....we all put mods on our cars so our cars can be faster, and we can have more fun driving them right? so i'm supposed to mod my car and drive responsibly(of course not doing stupid shit like weaving in and out of traffic and speeding in high traffic zones)? thats like an oxymoron.....myoung said:

Well for starters, you put mods on your car to make them faster but you dont abuse of them. I dont think Mike Young is going around picking on all these civic si's and GS-R's. Sure he might take on a lil street race here and there but not all the time.

Okay, I'm going to formally warn you here. sr20 805, your attitude pretty much sucks. Right now you wonder why in the hell some people (myself inclusive) do not take you seriously on these forums. 95% of your posts have been useless dribble, and post whoring. I'm not sure if you even noticed that some of your posts have gone missing....hmm guess not. Mike made a valid point by saying "Start driving like a responsible adult, then you wouldn't have to worry about either..." You've proven to us that your antics are stupid, and you're freaking out because you're so damned close to getting your license suspended, well maybe you deserve being without a ride for a little while. I agree, People Mod cars to be individual. Most people I know that seriously mod thier cars don't want to race them as there are always Ricers out there that take stupid risks and could end up destroying your car that you have spent many hours and £/$ working on. And man could you really live with yourself If you killed someone by driving like an idiot??
I aint no goody goody and I'm not preaching to you either, Just be careful where you do drive fast and always be curtios to other drivers... (How would you like it if some racer cutup your Mum,Gran,Sister,Girlfriend etc, and caused them to crash???)

at no time did i say that i drive like an idiot....u can be the best driver and still be involved in a wreck...u can always drive the speed limit, and the one time u go a lil bit over, and u get pulled over....then what? all it takes is one time...but i see there is no point in trying to give my opinion.......and stealth...u started the flaming on this thread for no fuckin' reason, go back and read the thread..besides, u also make no points....earlier u said something like "this M'fer drives a civic".........and if u read closer, u woulda known that the "downshifting is cheating" thread was just a bad choice of words on my part, even though i tried correcting myself a lil bit later in that thread everyone misenterpreted that and starting flaming.......and if your moderator priveledges have gone to your head that u cant even see the truth or talk(not argue or flame) like a man........then, whatever. I'm sure anyone would be mad if some idiots were street racing with traffic and killed a family member. In the same breath of air, u say that 95% of the people dont take me seriously, i dont come to the forums and post facts, if u read my threads, most of them are opinions. I'm also not the only one who "post whores"
I'm not trying to flame anyone, and what mike said was just advice, so i'll be driving a lil different from now on......so can we please just get back on topic before this thread REALLY gets out of hand, and behave like civilized adults and talk nissan?

I will say to this quote you are absolutely correct. You are not immune to anything regardless of driving skills. Too many different driving personalities on public streets to trust what appear to be an open road (been there and done that). Driving fast on local streets is a nasty accident waiting to happen. We all take chances at some point and we move on. I would pass this advice on to any and all "If you think your car is fast, go run it into a pole at over 90mph and it should jar some sense into your brain-housing group". I've had my wake-up call already. So if I could save a life or lives, try and contain the horses in your rides until you get to a private sector or track. When I wrecked my car racing a Ferarri on what appeared to be an open highway, I too also thought I was an excellent driver. Guys, take it easy on the streets, please.............

After looking at the final report it was estimated between 80 and 90mph and that's after sliding 53yards on paved highway and another 59 across the grass and into the pole. Nasty headache to accomodate this as well. Not to mention the damage done to the car! Just wasn't time for me to die, that all.
