I bought a junker '92 Sentra SE from a friend, who used it as a fishing car.
The interior is in surprisingly good condition, but the insulation glue, and the foam, is pretty deteriorated.

I need to replace some of the inside panels' insulation and the little black foam strips that track around beneath pretty much everything.

I was wondering what is the best glue to reattach/attach them. I'm almost thinking hot glue would work best for the foam strips.
Would that work or am I completely off?

Seems like a pretty good idea to me. There is a possibility that the glue wont hold for more than a couple of years but I dont know for sure. Depends on what areas are higher stress. Me personally I just remove all the interior that I can get away with.
