Is there a heat shield to separate the air filter from the hot air of the engine compartment? If there is, then you can drill a hole in the shield and install a grommet with an inner hole that the sensor can fit through. Install the sensor so it's on the air filter side of the shield. If you don't have a heat shield, your most likely option is to just find a place near the filter and zip tie it in place. That said, if you don't have a heat shield, you are probably going to lose performance compared to the factory intake system rather than gain any because you'll be sucking the hot air in from the engine compartment.
