:newbie:

I brought in my 95 SE to a reliable mechanic the other day to check the "check engine light" and he told me I needed a new Inhibitor Switch. I hardly know ANYTHING about cars...really just how to pump gas & add oil...but is this part absolutely necessary? I really hate spending another $300 when I had to spend $250 in Jan for knock sensor.

Also, the mechanic said it was ok to drive till the part comes in, maybe 5-7 days. Is it?

Thanks so much for the help!

Find out what ECU fault code was posted which caused the check engine light to come on. If the mechanic won't tell you what the code is, then find another mechanic.
