Hi I have a s14 SR20DE the motor used to rin extra cold (on the C mark) so I put a new High Flow thermostat in it which fixed that problem but the bottom radiator hose is always alot cooler than the top one so I am thinking that it might have a blocked radiator??

Also when the motor heats up it starts idling funny the go up and down and it gets a small miss??

In the mornings I have to pump the gas a couple of times and sorta hold it in to start then hold the revs on for a few seconds other wise it stalls??

If anyone could help me with these problems that would be great.

NOTE: I have already replaced the spark plugs and spark plug leads.

Well, first of all, the bottom hose should always be cooler than the top because the bottom hose takes coolant from the radiator, so it should be cool.

Also, for the idle problem, check the spark plug wires and make sure they are all plugged in tight..

And check the thermostat too, you might have put it in backwards, we all make mistakes sometimes.

Hope this solves your problems, if not, hit me back and I will try to help you further.
