Anyone out there have any good suggestions?
I just bought a 1994 Sentra 1.6 Litre. It Ran great for the first fews weeks then just a few days ago it died in traffic. I got it home and replaced plugs, rotor, cap. What is does is follows: If I start it up and keep the rpm up around 2000 or so, it will continue to run. If I let it idle it will decrease its idle to the point where i can not bring it back to life with the excelerator and it dies. Almost acts as if it is slowly running out of gas. Any ideas?

I think i might have had this problem before, i cant remember what they did but they replace a couple of things. It might have to do with the Air Intake section. Also change the idle timing.

make sure ur there arent any vacuum leaks along the intake tract. a leak in a MAF car will make it run like crap. check hoses for cracks, lose connections, etc.

check the AAC valve for carbon deposits and the Air induction valve hose under the plenum, it attaches to the back of the plastic intake pipe, its about 2/4 thick. Check to see if that is cracked or off the intake pipe, the car will die if not connected.
The TPS is not the problem, the MAF may be the issue, check the harness for corrosion and use some di-electric grease on the contacts, also check the plug wires for broken sections.

the only reason i say TPS is because my 98 explorer was doin the same thing. i took it to the mechanic and that was the problem. keep us up to date. im curious.

Bingo! Parvo's advice looks to be the most likely! ;)

I have to agree with sunnysentra's sugestion. I had the same symptoms that you described and they were fixed by cleaning out the aac valve with some throttle body cleaner. It took only a couple of minutes to do and cost about 3 bux for the can of cleaner. definelty worth a try

Terry,
Have you diagnosed it yet? Are you going to troubleshoot it yourself, or will you have a technician look at it? I'm sure we'd all like to learn from this.
Thanks
