I know this question has been asked many times before...but is there a guage swap I can do to get a tach next to my speedo. I am a beginner 5 speed user and I need a tach and I dont want a huge tach sittin on my dash. I also need the tach because I am going to be playin loud music and I wont be able to hear the motor and I might choke her down in the middle of traffic.

you should know your car enough to make judgement on when to shift, i put a 5'' tach on my dash and i dont even pay attention to it because i already know when i should shift most of the time, only when im being a hard ass i use the tach :p

Im planning to do the swap too, but first im grabbing all the needed info, and well after i think i'll have to search in a store or something for the cluster with tach, there is no "U-Pullit's" in Costa Rica,

Btw, can anyone tell me which types of clusters work for a B12 swap, model and year? That would be very useful.

I was going to do the swap, but I'm lazy so I bought this. Plus it matches the interior lighting (green), and its not some huge monster tach with that shift light that screams "r1c3 b01" Seriously, I don't need it to shift, its more to know what's going on under the hood (I still can't get the weber 100%, this will help me tune it). Next, I'm going to buy an A/F gauge and I'll be set.

going to get a wideband o2 sensor? (about $500) I hear A/F gauges are useless without it.

Oh yeah, and the B12 Sentra was like 88-90, Pulsar NX same, I think. . .

You can probably use the tachometre from the 1991-1994 Nissan SE-R gauge cluster... since the speedometre is still powered off the transmission. I myself just purchased a small tachometre, and fit it in the airvent right above the stock radio. Works fine for me, and it wires straight into the ECU.

I just got one of those "big ones" yesterday. It was at the flea market for 50 bucks and the face changes colors each rpm. ex: Idle: blue 1000: red 2000: green etc etc. It works pretty good and looks hella cool going down the highway lol. :fluffy:

Well UEGO gauges are useless without it. I hear there's a company called Innovative something or other that has much more affordable wideband sensors and meters.
