Good deal but beware with these Sentra models!
To name a few problems...headgasket problems, ecm problems, MAF sensor problems, horn-not-blowing problems and so on!

That's why I am doing my homework. My 1.6 runs like a champ and I don't want to work on a new car. How common are these problems? At what mileage?

it looks like a pretty good deal depending on what the reserve is, i had one just like this and i had no problems but id still keep an eye out for what was said earlyer. however, i dont aggree with what you said about the 2.5's i have an 04 spec v with the 2.5 and i love the motor i was amazed with the amount of power and how well it works with the trans and the overall geometry of the car. but the 1.8's are good too id rather drive nissan than any other brand ive driven (and i was a mechanic for honda lol)

My sentra's been a good car too at 157k. I've had to do some work on it, here and there but overall great car. Now, my honda's I'd go 200k before even touching it, so who knows. I just know Fords, Chevys, etc don't run like an import. I like to do my research. If there are people on here with low miles getting head gasket issues, I won't buy it. I learned my lesson on a land rover I bought last year (biggest hunk of crap!). Now I always do my research. I found a 2000 civic on ebay with only 67k on it for $4500, so I might grab that. Any help me out on a car fax? $40 is steep. Here's the vin#

im sorry but i cant help on carfax i dont want to pay the money either, but if i remember right the car on ebay was from a dealer or at least i read that on there, just give them a call beacuse they have deals with companys like carfax and get them for any car they get. and about the fords and other domestics they dont even compare to import motors i just had a 91 escort, the car wasnt bad for the money (not much) but i every time i had to get gas i had to put a quart or two of oil in because it needed an overhaul so bad. overall, id say its between hondas and nissans for me the nissan side just had more appeal with the spec-v being a much better tune than the civic si.

Actually, this is not a dealer, it's an individual. I just want all the specs before I go. Anyone?

OK first yes Im a :newbie:...here atleast hahaha...
ANd 2nd ... well....
ummm my race 01 FORDfocus zx3 has 138000 miles on it. Sees 7000 rpm daily, gets a 50 shot of n2o every now and then.IT even has cams, cam gears,UDP,race header, flex, exhaust, custom ram intake,65 mm TB, ported im,etc...etc...etc...all on stock head, and block. And doesnt have half the issues my wifes 03 sentra does. And she drives that car like she was driving ms daisy. Saying she babies it is an undrstatement.

Sorry I love some nissans but Im starting to not like my wifeys sentra so much.

It doesnt even get that good of gas mileage.

SO anyone that knows these 1.8's well PLEASE, PLEASE see my next post in the 1.8 forum.
