Unless I have missed something, I haven't read a single post here that tells of somebody installing the new Hotshot turbo kit for the 1.6. I have read what little has been reported about it, and feel confident that it is a quality kit. I have requested some info. for my application from Hotshot, and am waiting for a reply. Is anyone running one yet, [Other than Project 200SX 1.6?]? Am I going to have to be the first "consumer" to install one?

I believe they are still working on the downpipe. You might be the first. I dont really plan on it until spring.

***** Thanks Da91NX, I was not aware that in the Project Car forum, Mike Young has been fielding Hotshot turbo questions since July. I read all 18 or so pages and my eyes are now starting to glaze over. I hope they get the Stage 2 kit completed real soon, [with the 240SX MAF sensor] because I need mine for ice racing, and can't wait until the spring. Just think of how well the HKS intercooler is going to work, with outside temps at about 5 deg. , as I am motoring across a frozen lake, down some of the 1/2 mile straights! :D

I guess I'll be the second person to have it in my car... when depends on the first! (j/k Mike! :D) My MAF went out on me on the way up north over thanksgiving!!! Spent 500 bucks on a new one... Had to pull the ecu codes with crappy tools at some gas station off the 57...

Thanks Bickmade, hadn't seen that yet. Looks like I might be going with the Stage 1 kit, because of cost. I found out today that the reprogramming of the ECU by JWT is not included in the $3134 price of the Stage 2 kit. I called JWT today, and the reprogramming will be $595. Being that my GA16DE is a '93, I also need to come up with an '91 to '93 SE-R ECU, as JWT doesn't reprogram the early GA16DE ECU's. I've also got to keep in mind the cost of an upgraded clutch too. I'm not sure JWT knows a 4WD Sentra was ever sold in the US. They thought it was a European application, and asked me to send them my flywheel to see if they had anything. It's a 200mm clutch [bigger than the GA16DE's 190mm clutch]. I'll cross reference it, I'm sure it's not anything rare or unusual.

I already have the turbo and other parts, I'm just waiting on the piping from Hot Shot. Of course my car is being stored for the winter, so the install will take place over the winter.
me too... problem is the piping takes forever... and the ecu is waitng for testing for the 240sx maf program... what a bummer, ordered it in July and I won't get it tell like next Feb.

prob the reason why no one (single person not an organization) has done it, is because the complete kit is a pricey $3134 from hot shot, though i bet it would pay off to have it, but at that price, it would be almost equal to what i payed for my sentra
