I've had a problem with a leak in the driver's footwell in my '01 Pathfinder. So I'm keeping all the climate controls off while I dry out the interior to see if perhaps it's a heater core or ac issue..

Anyway, today I noticed very hot air blowing into the driver's footwell (all climate controls off). The air only blows when car is moving, not when idling or even revving engine in neutral. The air is very hot.

Any thoughts? Is this related to my leak?

Is the air recirculation button on? If it is off, outside air will be drawn into the passenger compartment when moving.
