loool yeah thats true in the US!
I live in Sweden and GM that own FORD make the SIERRA as FORD! Thats because GMC as a make aint that popular in Swedne but FORD is...understand??
And the question i asked is how many hp do a SIERRA have?
In Sweden we got FORD sierra COSWORTH and they are FAST so it aint that one:) ...so what kind of performance do the others have?

Thanks!
And plz stop trying to find wrong things in my mess...OK?
Almost all cars have different name in countrys..YOU should now that...its like Infiniti G20 is the same as Nissan Primera GT.
Bye now take care:)

Don't be a dick, obviously English isn't his first language, it doesn't mean he's less intelligent.

So what engine do you have in your car, just the regular old SR20DE? What kind of power does it make for you? It's hard to know what kind of power the truck is making since it sounds like it could have either a GMC motor in it, or a Ford, also it could be a V6 or V8. If I had to make a wild guess, assuming it's a GMC motor and a V8, mid 200hp and ~300ft/lbs torque, but that's just a guess.

If you read what he is saying you might realize that he isn't talking about a truck. Ford made a sierra overseas that I think was loosely based on our Escort. Don't no about now though. I was not sugesting that Jonas was the ignorant one. Jonas I don't know the exact answer to your question but I think around 170 hp from 2.3 litre.

Or better yet Jonas, it could be a Ford sierra with a ford lightning supercharged engine and they will kick your SR20DE in it's alloy @ss. I raced one about 2 years ago and that S>O<B cost me my #4 piston on my girl's CA18. Now with some fuel modifications, they chase, they race and I make waste of their supercharged @sses. They have some good power (for a truck), but after 120mph their race with me is over..........Hope this helped a bit

Boost_boy, don't know how your post could help Jonas one bit. He probably lives in Europe, though he could be in Africa or Asia, too. The Ford Sierra is indeed what our last generation Escort was based upon. They get some good engines over there. Jonas, who drives what we would call an Infiniti G20T, probably met up with a Sierra Cosworth...200hp or better.

I'm still chuckling about confusing the Ford Sierra car with the Chevrolet Sierra truck. Priceless.

You should see the look on my face:rolleyes: I feel a bit red-cheeked in the fact that I don't know much about ford's european line of vehicle's and don't understand why would would ford mix it up w/chevy when they are practically the big-ballers. I have heard of the little cosworth motors and the fact that that engine in any ford (small car) will smack up just about every little 4 cylinder around and hell, a couple of big blocks as well. ???Ford Sierra/ GMC??? just didn't sound right to me, but heck i just went along with the bit...:D

Damn, I came up with a longer reply then my browser tanked, here's the cole's notes:

We got the Sierra here as the Merkur XR4Ti, but didn't get the Cosworth version (just like we didn't get a Euro Escort Cos or a Focus Cos).

Somebody send us the good cars please! Nissan, where's my Sunny GTi-R? Huh? Come on!

OK, give the guy a break. He's from Sweden so I imagine English isn't his first language. The important thing here is that we do understand what he's means, which is a step up from some people on here whose first language is English.
Exactly. Someone try and type back to him in his language and see how far you get. Didn't think so. If lucky, maybe 1% of the US forum members could speak his language. The other 90% or more sit here and poke at his ability to communicate with us. Which I might add is very good.

Damn!

Hey Jonas, where are you from? Ford has some awesome and quite a few powerful European models. Ford Mondeo, AWD Escort Cosworth, Puma, etc.

Interestingly enough, I was just in Ireland last week. I *BELIEVE* the Guarda (police) over there drive Ford Sierra's but am not totally sure. The newer Sierra's are nothing like Escorts. I don't know *WHAT* they are based on. But if the police are driving them, they probably are *CAPABLE* of serious power. Hell, I had a hard enough time trying to match up the Irish Nissans to our US Nissans. The new 02 Primera I think is no longer based on our G20 but seems very similar to the Altima in appearance yet it only goes up to a 2.2 diesel engine (at least on the Primera Estate). The Almera I don't know what to make of it. Older (98) Almera's are similar to our B14 but the 02 doesn't match up with anything. Eyeballing the engine bay it seems that an SR20 will still work but the Almera only goes up to 1.8 petrol engine. Then, my favorite was the Micra... till I looked at the size of that engine bay. I was thinking that car would make an incredible track car with a SR20 or such in it till I saw the engine bay - ouch! Hopefully I'll soon be the owner of a new 3-door Almera
