I have to change the oil pump on my girlfriend's '92 G20. It clogged up and is starving the engine. I am PRAYING that it will be at least driveable after I replace it, and there is no terrible bearing or other damage. I'm familiar with engines in general but never did a G20 before.

Any tips?

How do you know the engine is starved for oil? If that is actually the case, the engine is already a goner.

You'll find the oil pump behind the front cover; you'll have to pull the engine for this job. Dropping the engine is a better phrase since it's easier to to do than pulling up and out. Believe me-- been there, done that.
