You probably do have a bent valve. The tick will be the cam follower tapping on a now too wide gap between the rocker carm and valve tappet. Check compresson on the ticking cylinder, you'll probably find it to be low.Well the timing belt was broken. Its all fixed now and the truck is actually running well. I expected it to have to have a head job. There is no power loss and its driving just like it did before. The only thing different is a barely audible click in one of the valves. I expect it to get worse, but so far so good. The only question i have is when i go into 4 high and then go back into 2 high I dont have the same acceleration anymore. Its slow, but if I go rom 2 high to 4 low and back nothing changes. Anyone with an answer? Is my timing slightly off maybe?
