I just need an aproximation, i dont have time to go to a mechanic.

1- What time do you think that my GA is running? (see pics)
2- What is the edge time of the distribuitor in both sides?
3- witch side advances timing? Toward front? or Backward?

thz a lot !

My car's timing is pretty much in that same spot, maybe a LITTLE farther up. I haven't checked my timing, but I'm assuming that it is the stock 8 +/- 2 degrees that the car is set with. Yours isn't extremely high, though. It's pretty hard to tell what timing you have from pictures, but I would guess that you are pretty safe (compared to my GA16DE's distributor position).

hummmm

well, seem that my timing is little retarded, isnt it?
What are the concequances of running with a retarded timing?

another question: Why, just in that point of the distribuitor, my sentra run well? Iv tested many rotor positions, but, that is certanly the best. why? running at this retarded timming is the best?

thz again !

Please download this FSM: Factory Service Manual for B14 section: EC, pages 254->256

GA16 section applies to your engine, no matter wich car it's mounted in, follow non-consultant (the crossed one) procedure.
I've already got it, but my questions are about running on that timing.
thz man

Actually turning the dist. towards the firewall advances the timing. Who's to say your timing has been retarded out of the factory spec. You need to check it with a timing light to see where it is set at! Otherwise how are we supposed to comment as to why your car runs the way it does if we don't know what the exact timing number is?
