hey waz up well do u remember when i asked you guys how fast my friends 200sx se was well 2 days ago he blew his motor and he was saying tat he wanted to get an sr20 ...now my question is where online can i find one of these motors ...how much do they cost where can i find the cheapest price....need help fast

Sorry to hear about your friend's motor. You can get a used motor (SR20) for fairly cheap now, but the SR20 swap is not that simple. To make 1.6L 200SX 2.0L, he needs to get new transmission, ECU, wireing harnesses, CV axles, clutch, flywheel, alternater, water pump, ac compressor, intake with MAF sensor, etc etc... It's just a lot of money and work. Does he know about all that?? I hope so.. I don't know how much to rebuild that blown GA16, but I just had to let you know about this...

Pretty much a new car minus suspension and chassis, lol, that sucks. On a serious note though, you can buy rebuilt ones for about $1500-$2000 depending where you are and the 'quality' of the companies rebuilds, s/h, etc. If I were him and going to replace the engine with an upgrade, he may as well go all out and get a sr20det, just make sure that the one he gets is streetlegal in the state it's being shipped to as there are many 'variants' of the sr20det in the US due to quite a few companies offering their own version of it with larger turbos and the like. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the japanese stock sr20det is also available here in the US from a few companies, as to whether that's street legal or not I don't know but all you have to do is ask. Just my two cents worth since you'd have to upgrade so much at one time anyway

Hey thats not cool, although he can search around the board he is just asking a simple question. Try looking for SR20 swap in the search or outside this forums on search engines and look for JDM swaps. I seen this one but i forgot the exact site but they had a lot of engines from nissan to swap.
hey i found one it's an sr20det bluebird 2.0 dohc 16v turbo 205 hp and it has everything ecu,tranny,etc..and it said that it fits 95 and up 200sx and sentra and it costs $2595.95 includes shippin .... is that what it costs or are they more cheaper is it that one or a different one...are they legal how much does it cost to put on..need help fast
seems a little expensive to me.... i have looked around and have seen them going for like $1300-$1700. Now granted those are prices without the tranny... but everything else. But you figure that the tranny shouldnt run another $800 should it?! just some info that i thought may be helpful.... and to help me if im wrong!

Some places include shipping others charge like 300-700 bucks for shipping.......depends on where and who you buy it from.

where did you see them for 1300 and 1700...the one i found is from ard performance and it comes with everything i need ,it costs 2595.95 plus shipping...since i live in sd,and they have their shop there ...if i go pick it up would it cost less...cause i live like 50 miles away..
