HELP ME please the nissan blew up. sentra 96 200sx

all right first i want to start off and say that im an idiot. i was jump starting my car and i put the cables on backwards to the other car(so like black was on postive on one car and negative on my car) when i did this smoke started coming out of my dash board. realizing this we flipped the cables the correct way and my car started buuutt nothing electrical works lights, turn signal you name it and half way home my car wasnt shifting either so i think i blew out a chip i need help fixing it and the battery is done too. tel me what to do and how... my moms pissed.

Well you should know that you've blown a shitload of fuses... Start replacing every fuse you can find thats blown. Then after you've finished if things still arent back to normal you can assume problems with the computer chip.

but definitely see what happens when you replace all your fuses first. then start checking out other possibilities.:balls:

is just the fuses nest to my battery or is it more than just that also i should probably get a new battery... and before my car would randomly turn off why would it do that? specially in the summer when i turned on my ac.

You probably blew the 75 amp fuse/fusible link next to the battery and also one that controls the lights in the fuse box under the dash. The 75 amp fuse is hard to get. I picked up a hand full at the junk yard the other day.

Yes the smoke you said was coming from your dash was coming from the fusebox under your dash. so you need to replace the blown fuses in both the fuse box under the hood and also the one under your dash.
