Hey guys. I got me a Nissan 720 2.4 and was driving it around, and the engine just started racing out of no where. It's like someone is flooring the gas pedal, and all I could do was shut the engine off, before the engine blew from excessive RPM. Carb was swapped out before I bought it. I have idea what kind.

It could be a vacuum leak or something mechanical like the throttle cable is stuck. Did you bother looking under the hood to see what was going on?

Yes. Checked all the linkage, nothing seems to be stuck. And replace the clutch so I didn't put the Cadillac converter back on yet. I deleted the vac system on this and made sure it was all capped. I'm thinking it's in the carb it's self.

You probably deleted a vacuum hose that you shouldn't have.

Look inside the carb and make sure the throttle plate is closing properly.
