hey guys, quick question for ya, 89 sentra theres 3 gas lines, a main, a return, and one that goes to the canister , if the one that connects to the canister is not connected, whats the advantage and disadvantages?? thanks
you know, I was kicking this around too. But I know it's part of the tree hugging parts, and the turbo cars don't have this can
because it's not needed.for the life of me I can't remember........?sorry a :dumbass: moment
IIRC the gas that goes to the charcoal canister is gas vapor from the carburetor or gas tank and sends them back to the engine to get burned. Most Charcoal canisters should be replaced at some point (which no one really does), if you remove it, you won't pass emission visual testing, but you won't see performance gains, or nominal ones at best. You'll run leaner, but again, you probably notice it since your charcoal canister isn't working properly anyways.
