I currently have a 1989 Sentra with a GA16i stock engine. I was wondering how much of a power gain I would get from, block bore 30,000th, hot cam, raised compression, new pistons and new rings, and a port polish?

I don't think there is a "hot cam" for the GA16i, but there is a "Euro cam" for the E-series

Plus, after increasing the compression, I was stuck buying premium, and adding octane booster to keep it from pinging. The stock Electro Injection is the bottleneck. After putting twin side drafts on it, it picked up almost 2 seconds in the quarter mile! But although the side drafts make big power, they hurt driveability, mileage, and reliability. Take your pick. Of course, no one [that I know of] makes a side draft set-up for the GA16i anyway. You might want to make one though. Know any good tig welders?
