Im planning on getting 2.5" piping....if i remove the catylic converter will the check engine light come on?????

Dont lose the cat you will lose to much back pressure. I would also recommend not using 2.5inch pipe unless u have a turbo and some serious power, 2 inch is plenty for a N/A application.

i replaced my pipe from the engine back and did away with the old rusted cat, and no the check engine light wont come on. i didnt think about the back pressure but it runs just as good and smooth as before, its quiet now tho. i kept the stock size pipe. if you plan on putting a turbo on the car soon i would put 2.5" but not a n/a engine as mentioned above.
