ok, i have been re-doing a bunch of things on my b12 with ga16de swap.
its time to hit the road again, but i seem to be having the damnedest tiem getting the air out of the cooling system.

I had to change heater core, i put new heater hoses on and new thermostat.
The water pump is about 3 years old.

After about 1 hour of running the engine and trying to bleed the air, i finally start getting some heat coming through the dash. I dont have the b13 heater hose that has the air bleeder valve. i have taken the other bleeder loose and it keeps leaking air out after racing the engine a few times.

I dont think i can route the heater hoses backwards, but if it matters....plz tell me.

Also, the fans kick "on" but the temp gauge stays in the middle.
I have been at this for 6 hours, i have never had this much trouble.

Bad pump? Air Locked? thanks for the help

well i fixed the problem today. i guess the water pump was air locked.
i took the air bleeder out thats on the thermostat housing. i then poured coolant in the upper radiator hose till it came out of the bleeder. i had to do this twice, finally it started pumping and now everything is running great.
