can u get a dvd player in dash, does it support single din units, is there space in the g35 coupe for it?

damn thats too much to a new car
and at over $350 in materials...id just stick with the stock HU

If i wanted to get an aftermarket headunit which plays dvd/etc like the ECLIPSE AVX249, I would have to go through that list of steps to get it in...
Looks nightmarishly difficult.. requires soldering too - eek.

:wtf: You're kidding right? You have step by step instructions with color photos. Do you just not know how to solder? You can also convert the stock navigation to play DVD movies if you want but the cost is still high for the unit and it will requires splicing/tapping into wires. Keep in mind that you will still have to take the dash apart for either route. Maybe you should look into having someone else do the install if this scares you. Not trying to knock on you but if a few hundred dollars is gonna keep you from buying a $30K+ vehicle then maybe you should save up until it won't matter. We all have to start somewhere so new things are somtimes scary the first time around but become second nature after some experience. Good luck to you.

That or just put in 2 head units or a double din like mine. Just an idea.
But don't give up on the car idea. Besides there are enough people in the club that could help you.
