Hi I have a 99 terrano R50 3.0 TDi which is the same as a pathfinder here in new Zealand and the fuel pump died no problem the local shop removed it and sent it for service, back it came and it was then I was told I needed to fit the latest ECU (part no 23710 2W206) and it will cost nz$1700.00 more, almost fell off chair. I have since emailed all the dismantlers here in nz. Have you had this problem? Can you advise me on my next step.

hi Dave, the pump has been upgraded and will only talk to a ecu from 2005/6 and the good news I have found one from a wrecker today will be fitted tomorrow and I'm hoping it works.
