I am trying to get a feel on how much fuel (gasoline, diesel, petrol, etc.) costs in your area. With rising fuel prices, I am wondering what areas of the world are hit hardest and what places seem to be getting a better deal.

I currently live in Clarksville, TN which is about 45 miles northwest of Nashville (country music capital of the world boo!) right on the Kentucky border.

87 octane = $3.79 per gallon
89 octane = $3.89 per gallon
93 octane = $3.99 per gallon
diesel = I'll need to check
Liquified Petroleum Gas = don't have it :(
ethanol = only a few pumps in town :(
propane = I'll need to check

Talked to my brother who lives over in Wales (UK) awhile back (January 2008), and this is what he quote me:

Unleaded = 107.0p (£1.07); $3.00 +-
Diesel = 110.9p (£1.10); $3.00 +-

I'm quite certain the prices have since shot up, especially since Gordon Brown (that's the UK's PM) just announced that high petrol prices are there to stay. What's new there, right fellow Brits?

I'll try and ring my brother later on this afternoon and see what he says now. It has gotten so bad as of late that he's taken to riding his bicycle and taking local transportation to and from work. That's bad because this is a guy who lives for driving and high performance cars.
