Well, i changed my mind about the N1 and bought the N2 instead-- i was not comfortable buying a used unit on ebay--- and for just a few $$ more i was able to negotiate a great deal on the N2 along with the dash kit, wire hareness and antenna adapter thing-- i have not installed anything, but the dash kit includes radio removal instruction-- see this page
My next purchase will be the Satellite and nav traffic tuner, will update you guys later.
As for my N1 opinion-- it's a great unit-- my neighbor has one in his F150 and i've seen the unit in action-- it's amazing-- The N1 has only one disc slot, which mean you can only load one disc format at a time, but the memory navigation feature lets you remove the orange Nav disc and insert a DVD or CD/MP3. (the unit will prompt you to insert the Nav dvd if required)
50W per channel to power your speakers -- motorized face that can be set to automatically pop out when you turn the car on, -- this is in my opinion the best aftermarket navigation unit-- of course the N2 has a few more features.
One thing i noticed about the N1 Navigation disc--- it does not provide the latest street details-- I live in a fairly new area and the navigation disc in my 05 LR3 has our street address and house number in the database and ends in front of my house, but my neighbors N1 disc does not-- when navigating to his house, the nav prompts end on at the main street and not at the set point (which is about 500 ft from the main street). Hopefully the N2 software is up to date.

I'm not sure how to remove the radio on the Titan but we are looking at the AVIC-N1 for my Pathfinder as well. Let me know what you think of it.

WOW.. i'm surprise to hear that you are able to locate a new N1. Prior to searching on ebay i checked locally and on different reputable web stores with whom i've done business and none seem to have more available-- they all recommended the N2.
On another note. --- while speaking to a retailer, i was told that there is a way to wire the N2 so that it plays DVD on the screen while in motion-- this process remains a mystery, but i will find out within a few weeks.

I think the reason my husband has decided on the N1 and not the N2 is because you can watch a DVD on the front screen while driving on the N1. Since we don't have kids if we take a road trip I would want to watch a DVD in the front seat and not have to crawl in the back seat to watch something. My husband is happy that I want an in dash navi system because he wants to take my Bose 6 disk out and put it in his Titan.

I know what you mean about the new construction. My house was built less than a year ago and the Garmin Navigation System I'm have right now doesn't have my street or surrounding streets on it.

On buying something used on Ebay, that scares me as well. We will probably buy it from a retail store here. We have looked around and it is way more expensive but...at least this way if something goes wrong I can take it in there.
