Two fluid questions. I'm going to change the transmission fluid and filter next weekend on my 02' pathfinder. How much j matic fluid do I need?

Also going to change the rear end fluid. How much do I need? Thanks in advance.

Why not just call your local auto parts store such as advance, autozone, orielly, etc... They have all the specs for your vehicle and can tell you exactly what you need to know.

Thanks. for the transmission Advance says 9Q NAPA says 5Q. Nissan says, Sunday and there not open.

for the gear box they say 2 quarts.

2 quarts sound right for the rear end diff. But I always get 7 quarts of tranny fluid when changing fluid and filter. Then if that doesnt quite fill it up it is still enough to be able to get to the parts store for more. When first filling the tranny back up pour in 5 quarts, crank the engine and slowly go through all the gears then back to park, making sure it drops into every gear before changing. When back up to park then check the fluid and add accordingly.

h233b is about 2 1/2 qts. if you have a LSD be sure to get the additive or LSD compatible fluid.
