Lately, i was practicing getting the fastest starts from a stop and i tried having it in 1st gear and then right before i take off i just put the gas to the floor and wait for it to nearly redline, all of this with the clutch in obviously. So, I was just wondering how much this damages your clutch? thanks

I've always slipped mine. Not great for the clutch, but I like it. If you can control your rpm's and clutch and keep your rpm's around the same as when you start, they will stay up in the power band and go right from the start. I don't have a tach so I can't tell you how high rpm's I get from the stop to slipping it, but it would be no more than 3k.
