I have a 2003 Frontier Crew Cab with the Rockford Fosgate system. It has the small sub behind the back seat. My problem is that the sub surround has deteriorated. I really do not want to change the system. What I want to do is just change out the sub and keep the box in place. It sounds easy,,find a sub that fits and put it in. However, I was looking at the wires going to the sub and noticed four wires green, orange, yellow/black, pink/black. I assume that the green and orange are the left and right + leads and the yellow and pink are the grounds. So my question is has anyone taken one of these apart? and if so, is the sub a dual coil or single?
Any help will be appriciated.

Well,, I did find out a few things on my own. The woofer is a dual voice coil 2ohm wired parallel. Which I may be wrong, but isnt' that 1 ohm load? So I am thinking on replacing it with a dual voice 4 ohm and wiring it in series to get a 2 ohm load. My question is now, will going to a better speeker offset the effects of doubling the ohm load?
Thanks agian.
