Ok guys, I have a problem here. First off this is now my NEW 240sx...it's a 93 se...I still have the '91 no worries. My problem is that the motor knocks like no other (obviously a KA24DE). It gets worse with any throttle input, but not any worse when I down shift to slow down. It's def. a metal to metal knock. My pops is thinking either a bearing, or a wrist pin (or something of the sorts)...Is there a known problem with these things that happens often like this?

Could the timing chain have jumped a couple of teeth and be out of time...it idles fine, but is this still possible? Depending on what you guys think is the problem, what am I looking at to fix it. I'm not planning on keeping the car, I'm swapping the tranny and clutch into the 91, and then fixing up the motor and selling it...if it's something w/ the pistons, am I better off going w/ the sohc pistons that will give me a higher compression? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks all...
