Its for a Sentra 2002 GXE.

Since this morning, when I started my engine I heard an ''unpleasant'' noise coming from the engine. When I opened the hood I believe 100% it was coming out of the engine belt. Two months ago, my friend who has the same car had the same noise and someone told him it was the engine belt.

I read on some other topics on these forums that there was a spray for the engine belts. Then again, someone told me I could simply apply some soap on the belt (yep, a soap lol). What would be the best solution?

Thx in advance! Ciao :)

i had the same noise except it was the tensioner and what i did was put some litium grease on the bolt but it kept coming back so i said hmmm maybe its just loose so i just tightend the tensioner and it was gone and for some reason it took care of the noise coming from my right brakes that were sqweeling but it did the trick i think its a 10mm bolt on the tensioner located under the alternator

You have 2 options here:
Change the belts cause they're probably worn and/or cracked.
Tighten the belts cause they're probably loose.
