96 harbody XE- I bought all the parts to replace the timing chain last night, and while I was putting along the engine light comes on, so I checked the codes, and found the egr tripped a code. How can you do a good cleaning on the little bastard? The truck has 144000 on it, and I know it has never been cleaned. Would this cause the engine to shake , since all the plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter have all been changed?
Thanks guys in advance.

IF the EGR is bad, you might as well try running some throttlebody cleaner through it. Like I said, if it's bad what have you got to lose? Let me know how it turns out.

Alright guys', I cleaned out the egr valve, and replaced the timing chain. Now I have a rough idle. What are the ignition timing set procedures for this 96 truck ex?
