Isky cam for E16

Or you could send your stock cam out to Isky Cams, and have them regrind it for you. Just tell them what rpm range you will operate at, what kind of carb, compression ratio, and gearing. That's what I did, and it cost me about $100. I liked the cam so much, I had a second one done, but only used it briefly, because someone ran a red light, and totaled my '84 B11 hatchback. I saved the cam and 15M head. The Isky ground cam is for sale for $50, if anyone is interested. The grind # is Z-330. It is ground on 116 deg. lobe centers, lift is .414", duration is 270 deg. with 38 deg. of overlap. The cam spec. card comes with it of course. It had a slightly lopey idle. I liked it! :D

Cam For Sale

Hey Blown, do you still have the cam for sale?

Thanks to all for the info on cams - think I'll try the regrind since the other ideas are just too mild - course I totaled the car right after i posted - but i'd gone from 16th place to 4th in 7 laps and thats running againnst guys with 2.2 L motors - so I'm impressed with this little car

thanks all
What kind of racing do you do???

Will it fit the 33m(i thinks that is the casting #) head off of a 1988 sentra e16i? How much did it help power wise?

It the cam will not fit into the 33m head, Will the15e head fit on a 1988 e16i?

***** All E-series cams will go into any E-series head. I have not dynoed my car, but I can tell you, that in my '86 B11 race car, I have run 14.5 @ 93 mph in the 1/4 mile with the aforementioned reground Isky cam. The amount of power gained would all depend on your particular application. If you still used the stock 1 1/2" exhaust system, I wouldn't expect too much of a gain. But if your car had some basic performance upgrades, the cam would give you quite a nice power gain. :)

Then what are the different casting #'s for. If you are sure that it will fit then i will buy it from you. I plan to find the pacesetter header and a 2 1/4'' Pipe. What elese could i do? Do you have anyother tips or parts. I cant seem to find the header, NOPI says that they have it but I try to confirm that they have it in stock and I never get a E-Mail reply. Which will give me more noticable power buy its self, the header or cam? I still have to pay off my lowering springs first. So money is tight.

*****The casting #'s represent the type of E-series cyl. head. Read the thread "E-series cyl. heads." When you ask what else can be done to an E16, I have to sigh, because I paistakenly typed up pages of high perf. info. on this engine. But, it was on the B15sentra.net website, which recently deleted all of the B11, B12, B13, & B14 Sentra forums. Bummer! :( A ton of info. gone! I am not going to try to type all that up again. It took me several weeks worth of nights. The cam and the header work best together. Do them as you can afford them. The last time I ordered a Pacesetter header, I had to wait about 3 months, while they made a new batch. Seems like they make them in batches as needed. Check out the other thread I started for another header possibilty. PM me, if you want the cam. Blownb310

2 1/4" might be to big. 2" is best. The e16 is not a very free breathing engine.

*****Hooooold on there, I just realized that over at B15sentra.net, the moderators decided not to bother moderating the B11-B14 forums anymore. But the previous posts and all of the great E-series info. are all still there. To get there, simply go to: http://www.b15sentra.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&daysprune=&forumid=17. This is great news for the B11 and B12 people, with the E-series engines. I typed up a bunch of cheap hopup tricks for the B11 cars too. The thread at: http://www.b15sentra.net/forums/sho...erformance+tips Whew, I thought we lost all of that helpful info! :]

Can the fuel injection system keep up with the cam and header.

What about with Nitrous, and yes i did say NITROUS!

All Hondas Will DIE!!!
They can most likely handle a 50 shot. Nissan used a turbo on the same block so it's probably strong enough. The heads are pretty durable too.

Nos and Cam

Can I use just a universal import dry nitrous kit with the throtle body injection or will i have to get a plate to go underneeth the throtle body like a carb?

With the cam and the header I am planing on getting, can the single stock injector keep up with the additional fuel needed with the cam and header?
