Hello peoples.

My car is driving me up the wall.

The first problem I have it the fuel injection. The check engine light keeps coming on, and going away at random. When I do the self diagnostics on the ECU it flashes code 45 at me. I installed new injectors and the engine light wont stay off. (Even though I reset the ECU) I have done continuity checks to all the injector wiring and everything is ok. I have also rechecked and reinspected the injectors while removed in the railing with the ignition switch on. No leaks... The fuel pressure is spot on as per the specs. Yet the check engine light still gives me a code 45 error

The second problem is weird idle. It "lurps" where it will fluctuate from 800 to just barely running at all then back to 800, then smoothen out.. then a while later it'll do it again

Bad gas mileage. I mean really bad. Like 15mpg bad. Yet there are no leaks in the engine bay, no leaks near the tank, and my spark plugs don't look fowled by rich conditions. I don't smell gas ever while in the car, or around it.

The car is hideously ugly, but then again I can think of a few ways to fix that problem. Such as junk the car and wave good riddance as I watch it get crushed. 2 or 3 sticks of TNT taped to the center console with extra long fuses to ensure I have enough time to get out of the blast zone. Empty all of the fluids from the car and simply push it into the pacific ocean and hope that mother nature turns it into an artificial reef. Perhaps the fish wont be as frustrated at the car as I am. Then again, Id better send down a factory manual that they would know what to do with the dumb thing.

I am soooo frustrated with this stupid cheesy little Nissan. My Toyota 4x4 (1993) has twice the mileage on its original engine (400,000) and I have YET to have a single problem other then a cold start injector going out on me 10 years ago.

Anyways, if anyone here have a few ideas on what might be going on, I'll appreciate it and might put you in my will...

Thanks everyone for reading my Nissan Sentra Rant.

OK, If you're so fed up and unhappy with it, Just sell it and get something better. Get a Camry or something. I'm not trying to sound like an @$$hole or anything, But if you hate it that much that you want to blow it up, Sell it and get something that you like. As for your problem, Have you checked the fuel filter and the fuel pump?

Check your O2, Map and TPS sensors. The MPG is terrible, more than what an O2 could explain, although MAPS have really hammered me before.

Mine gets 35 around town and 42 on the highway with 200k, so there is definitely a problem.

Also, is this an AT? Some of the auto transmissions had a funky sensor that could really mess things up, but don't remember what it was called. Almost looked like a battery. Mine's a 5spd, so I haven't messed with ATs much.
